DIY store chain Hornbach opened its 17th store in the Netherlands in Enschede on 30 March. The company has invested 33 mio euros in the store, which employs 150 people and offers around 120 000 products on an overall retail area of 17 000 m².
The store in Enschede is Hornbach's eighth store in the Netherlands within seven years. Preparations are already underway in Nijmegen for the 18th store. In the coming year, Hornbach intends to open a large home improvement store and garden centre there. This will be the third store in the province of Gelderland.
