The chemical and pharmaceutical company Merck has announced that it has completed the takeover of Antelliq Corporation at a price of 2.4 bn dollars. This enables the company to position itself as a leading global supplier in the fields of digital tracking, traceability and monitoring technology for pet health. It also complements the existing portfolio of vaccines and pharmaceuticals.
Antelliq will be a hundred-percent-owned and separately managed subsidiary within the Merck Animal Health division. Other brands operated under the family of companies include Sure Petcare, the supplier of microchip-controlled cat flaps and automatic feeders.
