On 10 October, Torsten Toeller opened his 1500th store in Pontault-Combault, close to Paris. "With this opening ... we have reached a milestone that impressively underlines our claim to be the number one in Europe for pet requisites," the company founder and proprietor was quoted as saying.
France is an important market for the Fressnapf Group and is set to become its second-biggest market this year with 150 outlets and annual sales of roughly 180 mio euros. So far this year 34 new stores have been opened in France.
