Zoo Med Laboratories is celebrating 40 years within the reptile and exotic pet sector. The company, which has over 30 patents, manufactures over 50% of its 1,200 SKU product line at company headquarters in San Luis Obispo, California, U.S. 25% of its products are made in Europe.
Zoo Med founder Garry Bagnall developed his passion for studying toad and frog habitats when exploring the creek near to his home in northern California. He expanded his knowledge by working in pet and fish shops in his youth, before founding Zoo Med Laboratories.
Gary said: “Never in a million years would I have imagined myself here or that this is what I would be doing. I think I am good at putting good people together and allowing them to create magic.”
