InVivo Retail plans to purchase 90 Gamm Vert stores from Axéréal-Agralys Distribution, Terrena Grand Public and Edimag. The stores are to become fully owned branches, and earmarked to later be part of a new format called 'Magasin 2020'.
Gamm Vert, the umbrella for more than 1,000 farm-garden-pet stores across France is, by far, the leading trading style for this type of retail stores. Gamm Vert is a closed franchising system, the franchisees being local agricultural cooperatives, and the franchisor, Gamm Vert, being a business belonging to InVivo (a group of consisting of 220 cooperatives).
