To further develop its recently opened distribution centre at Dalton Airfield in North Yorkshire (United Kingdom), Inspired Pet Nutrition invests another £1.5 million (€1.8 million, $2 million) in its facilities.
Inspired Pet Nutrition is a producer and distributor of dry pet foods previously known under the name of Wagg Foods. The new distribution centre already received an investment of £7 million (€8.3 million ,$9.3 million) before its opening in May this year.
The installment of an automated conveying system will simplify the pallet handling and reduce the need for manual handling. Pallets will be collected around one central point, loaded almost two times as fast and linked tot the nine production lines.
The investment will help increase the production rate and efficiency and reduce safety risks.
