The Fressnapf franchise company has announced that it is permanently reducing the price of over 500 items in its German stores straight away. The reduction applies primarily to the premium pet food segment and the new long-term low prices apply both to Fressnapf's stores and to its online retail business. According to the company, the pricing strategy is being backed up by a presentation in the participating stores as well as an advertising campaign in the press and on radio and TV.
Fressnapf says that the new strategy has met with general approval from the franchise partners. The new low prices apply initially to Germany, but expansion to other countries will be discussed with the national subsidiaries of Fressnapf that are responsible for sales prices.
