Vitakraft expands in China

After setting up the Singapore-based Vitakraft Asia Pacific Ltd in 1998 as a distribution company for the Asian pet supplies market, Vitakraft is now entering into cooperation with Wanpy, the Chinese market leader in dog and cat treats, to produce pet food in Asia. The new food factory is in Yantai in Shandong province and production is expected to commence by the end of 2012. Marketing activities for the range of products from this new plant are focused on the fast-growing Chinese dog and cat food market.
The newly established distribution company Vitakraft China, which is based at the same location, will likewise take account of the particular requirements of the Chinese market. Apart from marketing the range of dog and cat food, this company will also be engaged in distributing products from the other segments of the Vitakraft pet supplies sphere to the entire east and southeast Asia-Pacific economic region.
