Private equity company L Catterton has invested in Partner Pet, a leading Chinese company in the freeze-dried premium pet food sector. Partner Pet intends to use this investment to strengthen its position in the fast-growing segment in the Chinese pet food market.
Since it was established in 2016, Partner Pet has built up an extensive presence in China in both offline and online channels. Its products are sold in around 20 000 stores across the country as well as through direct marketing, in particular via the company’s own Tmall-Flagshipstore and on e-commerce platforms such as JD.com, Taobao and TikTok.
