Packaging manufacturer Coveris has appointed Christian Kolarik as its new CEO. His predecessor, Jakob A. Mosser, will assume the role of executive chairman. After selling off the Rigid and Americas divisions in 2018, Mosser turned the company into a European market leader in the flexible paper and plastic industry, according to the company.
Christian Kolarik joined Coveris in 2018. In his new role he is expected to continue the international expansion of the company and drive its sustainability strategy forward. His first managerial appointment was as managing director of the Mondi plant in Korneuburg, Austria. Kolarik then held the position of CEO of Mondi Consumer Flexibles and then as COO of the Schur Flexibles Group. In this period he worked with many of the current managers at Coveris. Since 2018 he has been president of the Flexibles business unit (flexible packaging materials) and since 2022 also COO of Coveris.
