Optimistic outlook at Sagaflor

Aug 21, 2022
Despite the difficult political and economic situation at present, an air of optimism exists at German specialised trade organisation Sagaflor. Last year, the company saw centrally invoiced sales increase by 10.4 per cent. The figures for external sales by business partners were even better, with sales in the pet sector alone rising by 14.4 per cent compared with 2020. Perceptible restraint on the part of consumers and a certain level of market saturation, however, have meant that Sagaflor’s trading partners are a long way off these figures in the first six months of this year. The cooperative has nevertheless succeeded in achieving a slight increase in both centrally invoiced and external sales in the pet supplies business in this period.

One of the current focal points at Sagaflor is the expansion of Zoo & Co. Due to the coronavirus, this has been on the back burner for the last couple of years. However, the speciality chain aims to open its seventh store this year.
