Fressnapf wants to expand in the Balkans

May 30, 2022
The Fressnapf Group wants to expand in the Balkans. To do so, it wants to strengthen its partner there, the Unconditional Group around owner Edvard Varda. The partnership has existed for two years. Since then, Fressnapf's exclusive brands have been distributed to other countries such as Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.

Now Fressnapf, "as a strong shareholder", says the specialist retail group, also wants to invest in the stationary expansion of the Unconditional Group in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bulgaria. The latter currently operates 30 pet shops in Croatia. "The Unconditional business model as well as the partnership with the existing suppliers will remain unchanged through the joint venture," Fressnapf Group emphasised.

Both parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of investments and shares.
