Symrise, a publicly listed supplier of aromatics and flavourings to customers including the pet products industry, increased its sales in the first quarter of 2022 by 14.9 per cent to 1,090.6 mio euros (Q1 2021: 949.6 mio euros). Organic sales growth within the group was 8.3 per cent (previous year: 10.5 per cent).
In particular, the taste, nutrition & health segment, which combines activities related to flavour solutions for food and drink, pet food and health solutions, saw sales rise by 16.5 per cent to 671.3 mio euros (Q1 2021: 576.4 mio euros). Organic growth came to 10.5 per cent, according to the company. The biggest sales driver by far was the South America region.
