Bright Pet Nutrition, a US provider of pet food and treats, has acquired Ohio-based Miracle Corp and its portfolio of assets. The company expects that the addition of Miracle Corp's brands and the existing operation in Dayton will strengthen its position in the pet industry, especially in the categories of kibble and freeze-dried pet food and treats.
"Over the past few years, we have been working hard to evolve the business that my family founded in 1978. Following our recent purchase of pet treat manufacturer Phoebe Pet Products in Kiel/Wisconsin, Bright Pet has seen tremendous growth - and we are excited to continue building on our momentum with the Miracle Corp team," said Matthew Golladay, CEO of Bright Pet Nutrition.
"The complementary nature of both companies' offerings will create significant synergies, especially in the freeze-dried segment of pet food, toppers and treats," commented William Sherk Jr., CEO of Miracle Corp.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
