The US reptile market is projected to grow in the forthcoming years. This is the most important result of a new survey released by the market research company Packaged Facts. The reptile market had achieved a sales volume of 495 mio dollars in 2019, but will grow to between 550 mio dollars and 650 mio dollars, according to the authors of the study. The figures include food and non-food supplies for pet reptiles including snakes, lizards and turtles as well as amphibians such as frogs.
Packaged Facts also learned that reptile holders have strong ties to their animals. 85 per cent of them consider their pets to be part of the family.
