Net sales of Hill's Pet Nutrition increased by 8 per cent in the fourth quarter of the 2019 calendar year, according to a press release by parent company Colgate-Palmolive dated 31 January. Hill's accounts for 17 per cent of the company's sales. The volume of the Pet Nutrition division of Hill's increased by 3.5 per cent.
Volume growth in pet food sales in the United States and western Europe was partly offset by a fall in volume in Japan and South Africa, it said in the press release. The organic sales of Hill's rose by 8.5 per cent, while its operating profit increased in the fourth quarter of 2019 by 8 per cent to 203 mio dollars.
