General Mills pet food and treat sales up 16 per cent

General Mills pet food and treat sales increased by 16 per cent in the second quarter of fiscal year 2020.

The company's pet segment, including Blue Buffalo, made USD 389 mio in net sales, up from 335.2 mio in the previous quarter. The pet segment operating profit increased by 14 per cent in second quarter to USD 81 mio, up from 70.8 mio in previous year.

In the six months up to 25 November 2019, General Mills' pet segment sales amounted to USD 756.5 mio, up 11 per cent from 678.5 mio during the same period in 2018.
