Jolly Pets, an US based pet toy manufacturer focused on creating durable enrichment products, announced that it has acquired Kitty Kasas to merge under the Jolly Pets umbrella.
“We were very impressed by Kitty Kasas’ quality product lines, as well as their focus on design and innovation. We are excited about the acquisition and look forward to supporting Kitty Kasas’ growth ambitions as well as entering the cat market,” Jolly Pets CEO Robert Miavitz said in a press release. “Nikki & Rusty’s expertise will be invaluable for future product development and their influence in the cat community cannot be overstated.”
Founded by two animal-lovers with a rescue of their own, Kitty Kasas was created with both cats and their humans in mind. Simply designed cat houses, scratching posts and recreation areas are stackable, durable and easy to clean. Kitty Kasas appeared on “Shark Tank” in January 2019, securing two offers.
Jolly Pets was founded in 1994 as a subsidiary of Horsemen’s Pride Inc. Sprouting from Jolly Ball, Jolly Pets introduced a variety of different dog toys, most of which are manufactured in Ohio.
After its 2018 majority acquisition by Tenth Avenue Commerce, Jolly Pets is “continually looking to expand its brand by offering new and innovative items in order to offer the most complete line of top-quality products for every size pet,” according to the release.
