The pace of revenue growth at Zooplus, Europe's leading online pet supplies retailer, increased yet again in the third quarter.
Based on provisional figures, sales revenue increased by 22 per cent in the third quarter to 277 mio euros compared with the same period in the previous year. Adjusted for currency effects, the rise was 23 per cent compared with 2016. Third-quarter sales grew by 7 per cent compared with the previous quarter, after growth in the second quarter only increased by 1 per cent over the first quarter.
On the basis of provisional figures, sales revenue in the first nine months of the current financial year increased by 21 per cent to 794 mio euros and by 22 per cent after adjustment for currency effects. Double-digit growth rates were achieved once again in all 30 country markets.
Based on the present business trend, the Zooplus board confirmed the updated forecast, issued on 15 September, of sales revenues of around 1,125 mio euros for 2017.
