The American family-owned natural pet food company Well Pet has announced the acquisition of Whimzees, a Netherlands-based maker of natural dental chews for dogs, manufactured by Paragon Pet Products in Veendam.
Whimzees has been innovating in the dental chew category since 2013 with natural, healthy ingredients and unique patented designs, according to Well Pet. The brand, which market experts say has a leading position in the dental chew category, will add to the existing Well Pet assortment of premium, natural pet food and treat brands.
Whimzees will continue to operate in the Netherlands. It has a state-of-the-art facility which has received the highest possible AA rating from the British Retail Consortium, made available through the Global Standard for Food Safety.
