Spectrum Brands puts together a package of measures

The European pet division of US company Spectrum Brands acquired the European business of Iams and Eukanuba as of 1 January. According to the company's house magazine TeTrade, it is now building up a “Centre of Excellence” for Europe for the two brands in London.

The centre will accommodate the new team for European R&D and quality assurance along with the central strategic marketing unit, which will develop and coordinate European operations.

All measures will be closely coordinated with the production plant in Coevorden in the Netherlands and with the departments at the administration and Tetra head office in Melle, according to the report.
