Futterhaus sales rise

The German pet supplies chain, Futterhaus, increased sales in the first quarter of 2013 by 9.1 per cent, according to the company. Like-for-like sales by the franchise firm rose by 5.5 per cent. Futterhaus says that good results in March fuelled the increase. New stores also opened in Wackersberg, Friedrichsdorf, Aalen and in Neuenkirchen, Austria, between January and March.
In the second quarter of 2013, Futterhaus opened a further store in Steyr, Austria. The company says that three more store openings are scheduled in the next few weeks in Germany. In May, the store in Hambergen will move to a new location in a new retail development in Osterholz-Scharmbek.
