Petland Inc. appoints Vice Presidents

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio, February 18, 2013 – Petland, Inc., a privately-held company, today announced the appointments of Steve Huggins to Vice President of Operations and Lisa Johnson to Vice President of Finance.

Both will report directly to the president. “Steve will continue to oversee our Petland corporate stores and retail operations and will also facilitate new franchise development candidate activity. He has a wealth of knowledge about the Petland system and an eagerness to share that with our franchisees,” said Joe Watson, president and CEO. “Lisa continues to provide leadership to our corporate accounting and finance group and is a solid resource for our franchisees’ financial reporting and accounting needs.”

Huggins has been employed with Petland since 1992. He spent 16 years working in Petland retail operations. From January 2004 to September 2008 he served as Director of Company Stores. From October 2008 to April 2010 he served as Franchise Development Manager. Prior to his recent appointment, he was Director of Operations.

Johnson has served in various accounting positions at Petland starting in April 1989 as Assistant Controller. In December 1993 she was promoted to Controller and served in that capacity until April 1996. Atthat time she was named Chief Financial Officer until October 1998 when sheaccepted a position outside the company. In October 2000 Johnson returned to Petland as the Director of Financial Services until October 2008, at which time she was named the Director of Finance.
