Masterpet fully acquired by EBOS Group

Masterpet Corporation, a pet shop chain with stores in Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Singapore, has been fully acquired by the NZX-listed EBOS Group. Masterpet employs nearly 300 staff, with head offices and warehouse distribution centres in Wellington and Sydney. In New Zealand there are sales offices and showrooms in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch, while the Australian sales offices are in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
The EBOS Group has been looking for some time to invest in businesses with strong growth prospects in high growth categories. EBOS has acquired the Masterpet business with the intention that it will continue to operate as a standalone pet and animal health business with no changes to the known brands or the dedicated team of 300 staff currently employed there.
